Piccolo ascolto di una cavità is a sound project which collects a series of sound works . All the tracks were created in order to be listened to inside of an ancient well in Palermo (Sicily), known as ‘Pozzo Sicano’. It represents one of the weirdest places of the city, because of its squared shape and also for the dark steps that go down in circles to its very bottom. Archeologists think that this site was dug by the Arabs to draw water from it, but there are many theories and no valid proof to one only. So, today, nobody knows the true history of this place. For this reason, the well is surrounded by mystery, it has become a place where everybody goes to get a little lost. Indeed, my sound work collects many voices who tell the legends, the poems, the archive documents and the personal writings about the place.
