Il quadro del pittore e scrittore Gottfried Keller e il suo amore per Betty. Questo viene fatto a pezzi letteralmente, quando lei decide di tagliuzzare il quadro che lui le aveva regalato. Dal libro Soggiorno in una casa di campagna, Sebald racconta di Keller, Walser, Mörike ed altri e di cosa succede dall’altra pagina di questi autori. La copertina del libro (edizione Adelphi) è rielaborata nel titolo e nella grafica per diventare una nuova immagine.

This is the painting by the painter and writer Gottfried Keller and his love for Betty. It is literally torn to pieces when she decides to shred the painting he had given her as a gift. Sebald, author of the book “Logis in a Country House,” tells us about Keller, Walser, Mörike, and others, and what happens beyond the pages of these authors. From the original narration of the title, the book cover (publisher Adelphi) is reworked by using typography and editorial graphics to become a new image.
